AvFinity Provides Flight Plan Filing Through FAA's NADIN II

Austin, TX (PRWEB) July 20, 2007 -- AvFinity has been granted direct access to receive and transmit flight plans and Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) through the Federal Aviation Administration's National Airspace Data Interchange Network (NADIN) II.

"Under the AvFinity agreement with FAA, our company can assist airlines and aerospace companies in filing flight plans directly into NADIN II," said William W. Bush, the AvFinity director of operations. "The AvFinity Network, powered by our patent-pending software technology, now can provide our customers with a competitive alternative to existing datalink services for receiving and transmitting flight plans and NOTAMs."

The AvFinity Network's software technology links legacy and modern IT architecture so that customers need no additional hardware investment to access NADIN II. The AvFinity Remote Client© (ARC) software is provided free to contract customers.

The AvFinity software technology benefits AvFinity customers because it utilizes low-cost broadband to transmit data from machine to machine (M2M). Customers employing efficient M2M technology usually experience reduced reliance on manual and intellectual manpower.

AvFinity offers an extremely flexible cross platform software technology that employs many well known protocols such as FTP (File Transfer Protocol), SMTP/POP3 email technologies, web services such as SOAP, and IBM's Websphere MQ Client and Server.

Data transmitted via the AvFinity Network may be converted or transformed for integration to backend systems or communications requirements. It is secured with SSL and adheres to the highest levels of communications security.

"The AvFinity Network's direct connection to NADIN II offers customers security, efficiency and lower prices," Bush said. "The service particularly will appeal to aerospace businesses, including flight plan filing services and airlines, which transmit heavy daily volumes of flight plans in the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) format."

In addition to flight plan filing, AvFinity's array of services include submission of Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS) passenger and crew data to U.S. Customs and Border Protection; fax and telex receipt and transmission; and other aviation mission-critical communications including Type B messaging.
